We all remember the Raggedy Ann dolls. Only the apples of her cheeks got any love. Blush can be a bit tricky. You want to define your cheek bones but subtly. Here are a few do’s and don’ts that might keep you from looking like this!
Do find the right shade. Fair skin looks great in pinks, medium to olive try peach and dark skin is amazing in plum.
Don’t just focus on the apples of your cheeks, blend it to the hair-line. There should be no distinct shape.
Do have a good brush for application that will take care of most of the work.
Don’t apply too much. Just a hint of color will do.
Cream vs. Powder
Cream blush is more natural looking but, can be tricky to apply. Blending with your fingers is the key.
Powder is quicker and less likely to clog your pores.
*Makeup tip* Use a little powder blush the same shade as your cream, layer on top for the ultimate staying power.
